James Patterson and Lyndsay Sands Are On Fire This Week
It’s been a while since I’ve reported on the best selling adult fiction books for the week, including those books heating up the romance charts elsewhere. Let’s get this party start again, shall we? Who doesn’t enjoy book recommendations?
Based on Publisher’s Weekly best sellers in adult fiction for print, it’s no surprise that James Patterson rises to the top (over at the USA Today also) with The Black Book (40,000 + in print). I would say with digital, he hit close to over 80,000 in sales this week. Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey, and A Man Called One by Frederik Backman, all have sales with print and digital combined in the 50,000 sale range. Nora Roberts is also high up there with Obsession. Based on Mass Market book sales, all these authors sold over 8,000 in print (probably near the 20,000 sale range with digital)- Magic by Danielle Steel, Forever a Hero by Linda Lael Miller, Immortal Unchained by Lyndsay Sands, and Bound Together by Christine Feehan.
Over at the USA Today top 100 for the week, these new romances have charted, starting at #6 with Immortal Unchained by Lynsay Sands.
#7- The Villa by Nora Roberts
#16- Begging for Bad Boys box set (13 authors)
#22- Say I’m Yours by Corinne Michaels
#38- His Alone by Alexa Riley
#49- Fear the Beard by Lani Lynn Vale
#53- The Arrangement 23 by H.M. Ward
#62- Wind River Cowboy by Lindsay McKenna
#63- The Unyielding by Shelly Laurenston
#85- It Started with a Kiss by Ella Quinn
#89- Red Clover Inn by Carla Neggers

Let’s look the books heating up the romance charts at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords…
Chad Anders doesn’t know why mousy Cynthia Henley trips all over her tongue when she’s around him. Nor does he understand his undeniable attraction to this good girl. Wild and sexy is his type, like the dream-girl he caught a glimpse of years earlier he’s never forgotten.
Cynthia’s superpower is invisibility, especially with men. It’s better for everyone that way. Besides, she’s got a cat. She’s okay. But when playboy-rancher Chad hires her, she’s got a chance to shine. Professionally, at least. Until she learns of his fascination with a mysterious dream-girl, who was actually nothing more than a shy teenager on an ill-advised dare all those years ago. Cynthia knows she’s no man’s dream-girl and never will be.
But there’s magic at the ball. Princesses glow in the starlight, princes appear out of nowhere, and, sometimes, they look a lot like cowboys…
I go long, I go deep, but I never go soft.
They call me ‘The Damage’ because I crush it on the field and off.
I’m all about the offensive penetration. No one knows the game as well as I do.
It doesn’t hurt I’ve got a goal post in my pants.
But the moment I see Indiana’s smoky eyes and tight end, I know I’m in trouble.
No one has a college record that clean, which means she’s either hiding something or running from something, and I intend to get the bottom of all her dirty little secrets.
Even if I have to tease it out of those sweet curves.
Even if she’s playing hard to get.
Because I can go the distance.
Because I always score.
Because I’m in this for the long game.
Former Marine, Miles Kydd, is trying to readjust to civilian life after ending his career and returning to his small home town when he learned his father was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Once the town hero and star quarterback, Miles no longer feels like the man he was, or who he’s expected to be—possibly because his demons have followed him home from Afghanistan.
Meeting Zoe Brooke, his father’s live-in nurse, gives Miles the slightest glimmer of hope that he can still find happiness despite the dark secrets he holds inside. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and together they are explosive—in more ways than one.
A helper at her core, Zoe is more than willing to care for Miles’s heart, but not at the expense of her own, and she’s not afraid to tell him that. She knows what having a painful past is like, and she wants to help him with his, if he’ll let her.
Things get complicated fast when Miles realizes burying his secrets isn’t actually the same as healing from them and if he wants the girl, he’s going to have to tell her the truth—the one thing he can’t do.
“Go to college,” they said. “Get a good job,” they said. “It will be a piece of cake.” Well, whoever they are, they lied. Sure, college was a blast, but after college, not so much. The finding a job to go with my expensive education, that part was not so easy. At least not until I was offered a position at the new club in town.
Life is defined by the little moments that have the power to change it completely. I never thought getting a cup of coffee would change mine, but it did. She did. She’s one of those moments.
He’s my boss.
She’s my employee.
I want him.
I can’t resist her.
