Lisa Scottoline and James Patterson On Top This Week

Some new books this week making big waves in terms of adult fiction. Last week’s #1 adult fiction- J.R. Ward’s The Chosen has taken a big tumble from #1 to #62 on the USA Today best seller list, dropped out of the NYT, and went from a little over 19,000 hard cover sales in it’s first week to under 4,200. Interesting to note thought, that Thirteen Reasons Why is still holding strong with over 60,000 in sales (in part because of the much buzzes Netflix show).

Other authors holding strong in adult fiction is James Patterson’s The Black Book (over 40,000 combined sales), Mary Higgins Clark’s All by Myself, Alone (over 30,000 combined), and Lisa Scottoline’s One Perfect Lie (over 30,000 sales, as well). Danielle Steel’s Magic is still holding strong for mass market paperback, including other romances, such as Nora Roberts’ The Obsession, Linda Lael Miller’s Forever a Hero, and Christine Feehan’s Bound Together.

Over at the USA Today top 100 chart topping romances for this week, things start off at #25 with Kylie Scott’s Twist.

#27- Mister Moneybags by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

#51- Turning Back by JA Huss

#57- Faking It by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde

#69- Anchor Me by J. Kenner

Here are some romances heating up the charts at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords:

Amazon: Reverly by Kandi Steiner, $3.99 Contemporary Romance

Wren Ballard is trying to find herself.

She never expected to be divorced at twenty-seven, but now that the court date has passed, it’s official. The paperwork is final. Her feelings on it aren’t.

Spending the summer in a small mountain town outside Seattle is exactly what she needs. The peaceful scenery is a given, the cat with the croaky meow is a surprise, but the real kicker? A broody neighbor with nice arms, a strange reputation, and absolutely no interest in her.

Anderson Black is perfectly fine being lost.

He doesn’t care about the town’s new resident — he’s too busy fighting his own demons. But when he’s brought face to face with Wren, he can see her still-fresh wounds from a mile away. What he doesn’t see coming is his need to know who put them there — or his desperation to mend them.

Sometimes getting lost is the way to find yourself. Sometimes healing only adds a new scar. And sometimes the last place you expected to be is exactly where you find home.

Amazon: Long Game by Teagan Kade, .99 cents Contemporary Romance

I go long, I go deep, but I never go soft.

They call me ‘The Damage’ because I crush it on the field and off.
I’m all about the offensive penetration. No one knows the game as well as I do.
It doesn’t hurt I’ve got a goal post in my pants.
But the moment I see Indiana’s smoky eyes and tight end, I know I’m in trouble.
No one has a college record that clean, which means she’s either hiding something or running from something, and I intend to get the bottom of all her dirty little secrets.
Even if I have to tease it out of those sweet curves.
Even if she’s playing hard to get.
Because I can go the distance.
Because I always score.
Because I’m in this for the long game.
