KT’s Adventures in Europe: Prague, Czech Republic (Part 5)...

Near the Kafta Museum is a statue/fountain of Hitler and Stalin peeing on the Czech Republic   The last stop in my European adventure was Prague, the largest city in the Czech Republic. Prague and Budapest tie for my favorite cities I visited on my tour. Prague is a city of secret delights around every corner. It’s the city of cobblestones (have fun rolling your luggage on the streets and sidewalks), and once the  sun goes down, it’s party time. Prague could give New Orleans a run for their money in terms of nightlife. It’s a happening place that is very affordable for tourists. An average pint of beer is under 3 euros. Also the history of the city, both in the far past, and in the 20th and 21st century is utterly fascinating. The architecture and art...

In my next post I’ll show you the sights and flavors of Prague, a must visit city, but first I want to show my day trip to Dresden, Germany, which is a 2 hour car ride away from Prague (and only 2 hours away from Berlin).   Fun facts about Dresden, Germany: The coffee filter was created in Dresden in 1908 by Amalie Melitta Bentz. Guest Author Post: MY WRITING PROCESS-FOLLOW ME DOWN by Sherri Smith...

Mar 21, 2017 by

I always associate ‘writing process,’ with people far artsier than myself. I picture them parked in front of old fashioned typewriters, bathed in wintery lighting, their berets angled just so. I start with a random image, something that makes my head buzz, my skin prickle and I go from there. In FOLLOW ME DOWN, this scene was a rusty looking pool behind a quasi-rundown apartment block where the sun is hitting the windows in that way that turns them all...
