Fun Twilight Factoids

Oct 28, 2008 by

I proud to admit I am a total Stephenie Meyer fan. I am anxiously counting down the days for when the movie, Twilight, is finally released. The website Horror Movies.ca has some fun facts about the upcoming movie and series that fans, like myself, may be interested in: – TWILIGHT has quickly become a huge international phenomenon, developing a strong core base of dedicated fans, especially women, who are drawn to the story of a Romeo & Juliet- style romance between mortal and vampire.– TWILIGHT is the 4th most searched movie on the internet according to IMDbPro’s moviemeter.– During the month of April, the film’s 18 listed cast members made up most of the top 30 searched stars on the web.– There was so much response to the TWILIGHT casting photos when they were...

KB’s Experience at the 2008 Put Your Heart in a Book Conference...

Oct 26, 2008 by

Yesterday I went to the 2008 Put Your Heart in a Book Conference held by the New Jersey Romance Writers’ in Iselin, NJ. I helped out Romance Novel TV for the day as we video taped some workshops and interviews with the authors to post on the RNTV site. This conference was much like RWA Nationals I went to this past July in San Francisco, CA, but on a smaller scale. One of the main reasons I wanted to go was because JR Ward was going to be there as a special presentation speaker. She is one of my all time favorite authors and to meet her was a dream of mine. Since Ward does not fly, she drove all the way from Kentucky to attend this weekend event. The first author workshop I...

I Love Your Blog: The Book Smugglers...

Oct 26, 2008 by

These two ladies really don’t need any introduction, and in my opinion, their site is one of the must go-to blogs and review sites out there. Ana and Thea from The Book Smugglers only arrived on the scene early last year, and since then they have brightened my world in so many ways. Their insightful reviews, whether it be about books, movies and television are unlike any I have read on the other review sites and blogs. Their voice is so very original and creative and they make a great team. Their dedication to post every single day is extraordinary. Out of all the blogs I go to, The Book Smugglers is the first one I visit every day. Ana and Thea have made me a better reviewer this year mainly because of our...

"WTF?" Cover Friday

Oct 25, 2008 by

Every Wednesday and Friday I go on to the Ellora’s Cave website to see their new releases. Nine times out of ten there tends to be some true, “WTF?” covers that make me want to cover my eyes because they are so bad. Today was no exception. I give you the thin man, because those ribs are just not sexy. Someone needs to make him eat a hamburger for he can put some meat on his bones. But I can’t complain about the butt. The guy behind him has this wierd back action going on. He looks like he is missing a chunk of his back! Then there is this one where the abs on this male model really freaks me out. He is more tone and waxed than Ken ever was. Thanks to...

One Bite With a Stranger Review...

Oct 23, 2008 by

Another paranormal story with vampires is the steamy romance by Christine Warren called One Bite With a Stranger. This book is an extended version of a title Christine originally published with Ellora’s Cave called Fantasy Fix. Since this a romance and an extension of an her original novel, you can pretty much presume that there is going to be some hot loving going on. There is definitely some of that, but the way the two main characters act with each other, especially the way the hero claims his woman, gave me some good laughs. And I am not sure if those laughs are meant to be intentional. Regina McNeill broke up with her sleazy ex-boyfriend after she found out he was boinking every women he could get his hands on. Her friends decide that...

What Animal Needs Some Shift Changing Love?...

Oct 23, 2008 by

The latest poll has closed and the majority have spoken for their next favorite animal who deserves a shift-changing romance: Sheep. Wooly Baa Love 10 (62%) Goat. His beard has special powers 2 (12%) Duck. He has a sexy name- Aflac 0 (0%) More mermaid/men. They know how to stay wet 4 (25%) Again, the sheep comes out on top! Unfortunately there seem there will be no were-duck love in the future. I also added a new picture of a tree to my sidebar. The tree and I have an interesting past with one another *coughnastytreesexwithaheroineinaromanceIreadcough* and I have decided the tree needs more romance in their life. So, I am calling all authors to share the love and give a tree their own romance!*other bloggers give you sexy men pictures, I give you...

Blood Memories Review and a Chat...

Oct 22, 2008 by

Barb Hendee is the well known New York Times author of the Nobel Dead Saga, which she co-writes with her husband J.C. I have never read that series, but when I was given Blood Memories, I decided to give it a try because I am always looking for new books dedicated to may favorite type of paranormal character- the vampire. I was surprised to find out that Blood Memories was originally written by Barb twelve years ago. Even though it was an early manuscript, her publisher, Roc, was still interested in purchasing the title and publishing it. Barb realized it was a bit outdated and did some revisions, thus the book that was published this month. Blood Memories is about vampire, Eleisha Clevon who has been around since the mid-nineteenth century ever since she...
