A Wallflower Christmas **Power Puff Advanced Review** and Contest...

Sep 25, 2008 by

Usually when I see a holiday themed book, I turn the other way. I am not really into the holiday reads, and when I first heard that Lisa Kleypas had written one, I almost groaned. I know, I should be ashamed, because it is a Lisa Kleypas book after all! But when Bubbles and Buttercup from The Book Smugglers couldn’t stop raving about A Wallflower Christmas, I decided to give it a try, especially since it is Lisa Kleypas Appreciate Week over at The Book Smugglers. Ana asked if I wanted to do another team review with her since we have so much fun doing them together. How could I refuse? I am so glad I decided to read A Wallflower Christmas. Lisa has done it again, writing a superb romance with another to...

Why Are the Sheep Left Out?

Sep 24, 2008 by

The past few weeks there has been a bit of zaniness over at Twitter, that community message board site that can give you hours of fun and help you procrastinate in ways you never thought possible. Jen B, C2, Holly and I came up with a wacky story about demon sheep who turn into hot ranch hands with the letter “H” in their names. Lhuke, Mhiller and Bhubba are the characters in this tale and we have seemed to take it one step further by adding amoebas to the plot. By now you are probably shaking your head wondering if we were drunk or high during these conversations. I know I wasn’t. ;D. But from these conversations, a thought came to my mind about shift-changing animals in literature. Once upon a time the only...

Sep 21, 2008 by

Tomorrow is the official start for the Fall TV season and the one show that I have been waiting anxiously for is Heroes (Monday 8pm on NBC) . I would have to say that Heroes is one of the most anticipated shows to watch this fall. *and I am not just saying that because I work for the company that airs is *G** I have watched the first hour of tomorrow night’s episode and is explosive! If you are a fan of comic books, superheroes, and so much action that you can’t keep track, Heroes is the show for you! Talk about a stellar cast of actors and the characters they play. And Heroes has one of the most nastiest villains on television today. And yes, I have a mad crush on him. His...

The Nalini Singh Interview

Sep 20, 2008 by

Who doesn’t know best selling NY Times author Nalini Singh? She has written an excellent sci-fi romance series unlike any I have read, and each book keeps getting better and better. Her latest, Hostage to Pleasure, that came out this month, has already hit the New York Times and USA Today book list. I wasn’t even surprised when I heard. I had the honor of meeting Nalini at RWA this passed July, and when I came up to her and introduced myself she was so nice and had a big smile on her face, as you can see in the picture above. She actually wanted to take a picture with me on her camera, before I could ask her myself. And she doesn’t mind when I try to pick her brain about a certain...
