Welcome to this week’s WTFckery that starts off with yet another disturbing case of a self-published author plagarizing her fellow authors, both self-published and traditionally published…   Plagiarism is disgusting, and the worst type of thief and fraud an author can do to another author. A plagiarism controversy has struck again  this week with a self-published author, aka as of now, an alleged thief known as Laura Harner, a prolific author of Gay (M/M) Romance, who has published 75 titles in 5 years (right there the amount of book published in 5 years should give some pause). Nicholas Sparks’ See Me Rules Everything (with over 100,000 sales in one week)...

This week has some new movers and shakers, most of which are well know and establish authors. The biggest selling adult fiction book should come as no surprise- It’s Nicholas Sparks’ See Me with over 85,000 print sold, bringing the total number of sales with digital to over 100,000 sales in one week. Other fiction sellers sold between 25,000- and 40,000 print copies (I would say more than half of that in digital). Notable author mentions who hit big this week- Stephenie Meyer, Rich Riordan, and Vince Flynn.     On the NYT Combined Fiction list, See Me holds the top spot, followed by The Martian (still riding the waves because of the movie).
