Thank you for inviting me to your amazing blog! You did a wonderful job – it’s great with tons of information! As a thank you, I have a special item for you readers. If they will comment on this message, they can log in to win a free signed copy of my debut novel DEMON KISSED.
Some of you know that I am an Indian author and I myself have published DEMON KISSED and CURSED (sequel). For those of you who do not know what happened, here it is. Hold your hats! About a year ago I started writing “DEMON KISSED”. I had no intention to publish it, I just wrote it for myself. The main theme of this series is destiny. With my theological education, the idea of predestination has always been intriguing. And this is mainly what happens in the book. The main character, Ivy Taylor, is on a crash course to get a life she does not want.
Last fall, I finished the book and sent it to the literary agents to see what will happen. Almost immediately I had a few suggestions for a presentation. I chose an agent and we pushed forward by sending DEMON KISSED to all the big boys in the publishing business. A few months later I realized that the traditional publishing house was not for me. I’m kind of obsessed with control and transferring full control to someone else didn’t sound very attractive. So, I decided to publish myself.
Now I understand that people can say that, and it can be a cover for the publishing world that thinks a book sucks – but in this case I haven’t seen what traditional publishing has to offer me. By the time I decided to go myself, DEMON KISSED already had 30,000 fans of facebook (www.facebook.com/demonkissed). And I am a professional photographer for wealthy people, so I could and could shoot my own covers. These are the two main things that self-published authors are afraid of – having an ugly/uneffective cover that spoils sales and no one buys their book. There is nothing unusual in the fact that self-published authors sell about 100 books, that’s all. I did not have such a problem with the DEMON KISSED fan base. To date, DEMON KISSED has sold over 10,000 copies. And fans are dying to get CURSED on August 31, 2011.
I had a lot of fun self-publishing. The literary market is in constant motion and this allows me to try new things that don’t really contribute to the traditional publishing business. It also gave me freedom from a system that is in the “adapt or die” phase. With the growth of e-books and the closure of brick and building stores such as Borders, self-publishing is a good place for me.
Thank you to all the fans who hung out with me! Your support is amazing and I could not have done it without you!
Description of the book DEMON KISSED:

The boy Walefar tricked Ivy Taylor to kiss him, but he took much more than a kiss – he stole her soul and left her inches away from death.
Once alive, Ivy is drawn into the conflict between Martises and valefars. The war between these two immortal forces has raged for thousands of years, without distraction. Until now. Ivy – an anomaly – she is the only person who left the demon kiss alive. Her survival gives her unique and lethal abilities. Too strong to ignore, Ivy is a threat to both armies. These two ancient enemies will stop at nothing to kill the seventeen-year-old.
Survival is not something new to the strong Ivy, but her survival has never been dependent on the other person. This time it depends. And if she abuses her trust, she will die. To her horror, she begins to fall in love at the worst time with the enemy. He seems to be protecting her. But she can’t be sure whether he is trying to help her, or to help himself by force. For Ivy, trusting the right person is the difference between love and survival, or kissing a deadly demon.

But being a queen of demons is not the destiny she wants. Ivy will have to overcome lust, power and love if she wants to survive.
